Dreams Do Come True

September 24th, 2008 10:52 am by Carol

Happy Wednesday!

I dreamt of a world where people saw possibilities over limits. I dreamt of a world where people operated out of a space of love over hatred. I dreamt of a world where people believed in oneness rather than separation. I dreamt of a world where contrast was seen as an experience to grow and not fear. I dreamt of a world where attention was given to goodness rather than conflict. I dreamt of a world where it was him and me rather than him or me. I dreamt of a world where we looked into hearts and souls rather than gender, race, or any other orientation people are classified in. I continue to dream, as dreams do come true.

Quotes of the day:

“Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.” ~ Harriet Tubman

“Make every thought, every fact, that comes into your mind pay you a profit. Make it work and produce for you. Think of things not as they are but as they might be. Don’t merely dream – but create!” ~ Robert Collier

“There are those who look at the way they are, and ask why – I dream of things that never were, and ask why not?” ~ Robert Francis Kennedy

“To dream anything that you want to dream; that’s the beauty of the human mind. To do anything that you want to do; that is the strength of the human will. To trust yourself to test your limits; that is the courage to succeed.”

~ Bernard Edmonds

For the next week, I invite you to dream of:

Positivity: When faced with a contrasting experience (negative political campaigns, economic crisis), dream of the opposite of what you are hearing. Hold the vision of peace, love, and abundance.

Appreciation: Appreciate every moment you have, as it’s your choice on how to react to any situation.

Empowerment: That you are a powerful person and absolutely have the ability to be the change you want to see in the world. Hold the vision of peace, love, and abundance.

Possibilities: Choose to see through the eyes of possibilities. Live in your truth of goodness.

Focus: your attention on all the goodness in the world, as I promise you, if you look for it, you will find it.

Mostly, my wish for you is stay true to your dreams by focusing on the positive and empowering yourself that all is possible with a loving heart.

Until next time, keep dreaming, as dreams do come true.
Hugs,
~Carol

Keep Your Eye on the Ball

September 17th, 2008 01:46 pm by Carol

Happy Wednesday!

What are your dreams, desires, goals, and passion? I bet all of them revolve around love, peace, abundance, and happiness. Now ask yourself, what do you spend most of your time focusing on? Do you focus on love or fear? Do you focus on peace or fear? Do you focus on abundance or fear? Do you focus on happiness or fear?

Keep your eye on the ball. If your dream is a loving romantic relationship, focus on feeling loved rather than feeling alone. If your dream is to live in peace, focus on what brings you peace, rather than world conflicts. If your dream is financial freedom, focus on abundance rather than what is going on with current economy. If your dream is being happy, focus on what brings your joy rather than what brings you sadness. Be the change you want to see in the world by focusing on your own reality. If we each stood up and created our reality of love, peace, abundance, and happiness at the individual level, I promise you, the world would live as one.

Quotes of the day:

“For I dipped into the future, far as human eye could see. Saw the vision of the world, and all the wonder that would be.”

 ~ Alfred Lord Tennyson

“There is a road from the eye to heart that does not go through the intellect”

~ G.K. Chesterton

“The eye sees only what the mind is prepared to comprehend”

 ~ Henri Bergson

“The eyes are the gateway to the soul.”

 ~ Herman Melville

For Your Eyes Only

For the next week, I invite you to refocus by being:

Aware of your dreams: Stay plugged in, revved up, and excited about your dreams. When contrast shows up, refocus on loving thoughts.

Grateful: Be grateful for all the amazing things in your life, even if they are seemingly small, and when contrast shows up, refocus on loving thoughts.

Appreciative: Appreciate yourself, others, and life. Talk up the good things going on in your life, and when contrast shows up, refocus on loving thoughts.

Mostly, my wish for you this week is to realize your focus is your reality, so focus on your desires and send loving thoughts to your fears. Focus on love. Focus on wellness. Focus on abundance. Focus on joy. Focus on a better feeling when contrast shows up. Refocus on all the goodness, love, and joy the world offers.

Until next time, focus on living your life fulfilled.

Hugs,

Carol

Thank You

Happy Wednesday!

Has anyone recently thanked you for being you?

We recently witnessed some amazing fetes of dedication, determination, spirit, and athleticism in the Summer Olympics. These athletes trained for years to reach the pinnacle of their chosen sport and they did so with courage, support, dedication, and love of what they were doing. I thank each of them for showing the world how to live out your dreams. Each of these athletes faced obstacles in reaching their dreams, yet continued on because they truly knew this was their journey. This was their destiny.

It’s quite easy to see the awe, wonder, and amazement in huge successes such as these athletes. I invite you to look inside yourself, and see the greatness within you and truly be thankful for your own abilities. They may be seemingly small to the outside world, but they are there and something to be proud of. Perhaps you are currently feeling sadness for loss of something you held dear, yet you got out of bed and chose to continue on - Thank You! Perhaps you are fearful of the unknown, yet continue to move forward - Thank You! Perhaps you are comparing yourself to people you feel are smarter, more beautiful, or more successful than you, yet you choose to dig deep inside knowing you are unique and amazing in your own right - Thank You!

Quotes of the Day:

~ Albert Schweitzer

”When you arise in the morning, give thanks for the morning light, for your life and strength. Give thanks for your food, and the joy of living. If you see no reason for giving thanks, the fault lies with yourself.”

~ Tecumseh Shawnee Chief

“Develop an attitude of gratitude, and give thanks for everything that happens to you, knowing that every step forward is a step toward achieving something bigger and better than your current situation.”

~ Brian Tracy

“No duty is more urgen than that of returning thanks.

The person you are today as each experience brings you to a new place and you get to choose who you become. Be thankful for you now.

The people in your life that you choose to be your greatest cheer leaders, fans, and supporters. Be thankful for you now.

Your inner spirit as it is your strength, your knowledge, and your peace. Be thankful for you now.

Mostly, I want to thank you for seeing the big picture of life as being loving, fun, peaceful, and connected. I appreciate that you see the challenges and contrasts along the way as little slivers of an amazing overall existence. I love the fact that you choose to find peace in adversity and love everywhere. As its people such as yourselves that make the world brighter and brighter. Keep on shining.

Give Peace a Dance - September

September 7th, 2008 11:29 am by Carol

Four of us went to Give Peace a Dance Saturday night and saw a few other PFers there too! If you’ve not been, it’s a fun night that includes different healers, dj/dancing, drum circle, fire pit, and fire dancers. It’s quite an experience and lots of fun. It was a perfect evening to sit by the fire and listen to the music and watch the dancers. Here are some of my favorite pictures from the evening.

Rossi takes some amazing pictures and the one above is my favorite.

Free Hugs - September 6th

September 7th, 2008 10:57 am by Carol

Yet another day in paradise spreading love one hug at a time. We had 11 huggers and several people joined us to give hugs.

Left to right: Michael, Noah, Rodger, Lena, Kai, Sara, and Brandon

Even I got in the pictures this time. :)

Some of my favorite memories of today:

P1000742

Three of this group stayed for five minutes to give out hugs. The second to the right (skirt/long hair) didn’t even want to get a hug herself at first, and then she ended up being one of them that stayed to give hugs.

 P1000814

This little girl came through the line a couple times. The second time she gave each of us a Hershey kiss piece of candy and then she joined for a little bit.

P1000818

People are often watching us from the second floor of Borders Book Store, so we sent Roy up to scope out the place. He gave some hugs in Borders while he was checking out the view.

Anyway

September 3rd, 2008 04:06 pm by Carol

Anyway

Happy Wednesday!

Can you believe fall is upon us? And before you know it, we’ll have our first snow fall? This time of year used to be sad to me. I love summer. I love the sun. I love longer days of sunlight. I love being on the water, and it’s the time of year to put the boats up. Before it ended, I was already thinking about what was to come - cold, snow, shorter daylight days, etc, rather than living in the now and loving what is. That was the past me. I still absolutely love summer, sun, and longer daylight days, but I now choose to live in the anyway. Whatever season it is (figuratively or literally) I love it anyway.

In 1968, Dr. Kent Keith wrote the Paradoxical Commandments for a student leader’s booklet. These commandments have touched the hearts of millions of people all around the world. Mother Teresa had similar words written on her home for children in Calcutta that is believed to be inspired by Dr. Keith’s original works.

Quotes of the day:

“Courage is simply the willingness to be afraid and act anyway.” ~ Dr. Robert Anthony

“If you don’t love me, it does not matter, anyway I can love for both of us.” ~ Stendhal

“Courage can’t see around corners, but goes around them anyway.” ~ Mignon McLaughlin

Paradoxical Commandments

For the next week, I invite you to consider holding these ideas close to your heart:

People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered.

Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives.

Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies.

Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you.

Be honest and sincere anyway.

What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight.
 Create anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous.

Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, will often be forgotten.

Do good anyway.

Give the best you have, and it will never be enough.

Give your best anyway.

In the final analysis,

it is between you and God.  It was never between you and them anyway.

Mostly, my wish for you is to live your highest good of love, compassion, joy, faith, peace, beauty, and allow others to live their highest good. When you are living your highest good, you are loving you, loving life, and loving others.

Until next time, simply live -
anyway!

Hugs,
~Carol
