Lights, Camera, Action – Inspired Action That Is

April 29th, 2009 02:49 pm by Carol

Have you ever wanted to be a movie star? How about a rock star? Or perhaps a sports star?  I invite you to become the biggest star of all and SHINE BRIGHT AND BRILLIANT as the leading performer in your own life.

Take a moment to sit with your dreams and desires and become crystal clear of your vision. Quiet your mind so what others expect you to be is insignificant and you can reach that feeling place deep within. That place as a child you dreamt easily of the amazing life you were going to lead.

Once you become clear of your vision, you’ve turned yourself on to creating that dream. Now it’s time to start filming your life. See yourself playing the role of your dreams. See yourself being surrounded by a loving supporting cast and that the retakes are simply there to allow you to perfect your role.

When the time comes to act upon your dreams, breathe deep knowing you are an amazing star, and the inspired action will come. When you are clear on what you want, you’ll find the action is in allowing it to unfold with ease. You will run into the person you’ve needed to talk to for the last week. You’ll hear a conversation between others that sends you to look into something you’ve been thinking about. Or you will simply have what some people call ‘coincidences’ take place showing you that you are on the right path.

Is action required to making your dreams come true? I believe the answer is yes with a heavy dose of ‘inspiration’ included. The action may be sitting silent and getting in touch with your truth and ridding yourself of negative self talk. Inspired action feels good. Inspired action feels right. Inspired action feels fun. Inspired action might be a stretch from your norm, but it’s an excited stretch not a fearful one. You will be excited to do the necessary action.

Quotes of the week:

”When it is obvious that the goals cannot be reached, don’t adjust the goals, adjust the action steps.”

~ Confucius

“You are the embodiment of the information you choose to accept and act upon. To change your circumstances, you need to change your thinking and subsequent actions.”

~ Adlin Sinclair

“It’s kind of fun to do the impossible.”

For the next week I invite you to become your star by:

Letting go of the negative self talk of ‘I can’t, there’s not enough, life is hard’ and replace it with ‘I am amazing, I am love, and I am peace.’

Filling your soul with love. See the kids laughing in the park. Smile at the elderly couple sitting together on the park bench. Smile and allow your inner self to shine.

From this space, write your screen play, write the lyrics to your dream life, or create a play-by-play of the best game you’ve ever seen – your own.

Mostly, I invite you to celebrate you and give an Oscar award winning performance as nobody can play you better!

Heck – why not invite your friends over, and have a ceremony fit for a performer getting their star on the”Hollywood Walk of Fame.”  YOUR star will look great in your driveway!!

Until next time, practice your steps and be prepared to sign autographs for your many admirers.

Hugs,
~Carol

This Week’s Affirmation: I am the shining star of my life.

It’s All in Your Head

April 22nd, 2009 09:54 am by Carol

Have you ever truly taken notice of what you say? Have you every truly taken notice of what you think about? Have you ever truly taken notice of how you feel?

When it’s a rainy day are you enjoying the sounds as the rain hits a surface? Are you breathing in the fresh scent that is distinct to rain? Do you notice how the weather makes you feel?  Do you think about playing in the puddles? Or do you think about tracking in mud?

When you watch the news about our current state of economy, do you take notice on how it makes you feel?  Does it invigorate you and motivate you for inspired action on change? Or do you think fearful thoughts.

I absolutely love that we all get to choose how we see life.  You get to choose how to see the world at large. You can choose to see the upside or downside of life. You get to choose if you see life through loving eyes, or fearful eyes. You get to choose, so choose what makes you feel good. Choose what makes you think highly of yourself and others. Choose what makes you speak highly of yourself and others. Choose your life from a space of love.

Quotes of the Day:

”If you realized how powerful your thoughts are, you would never think a negative thought.”

~ Peace Pilgrim

“You can not always control circumstances, but you can control your own thoughts.”

~ Charles Popplestown

“Change your thoughts, and you change your world.”

 ~ Norman Vincent Peale

“The more man meditates upon good thoughts; the better will be his world and the world at large.”

 ~ Confucius

AFFIRMATION: I have an abundance of love to share with myself, with others, and with the world.

For the next week I invite you to fill your head with:

Thoughts of joy – if are currently living your dream life, be grateful and celebrate it.

Thoughts of joy – if you are currently dealing with contrasting experiences be joyful that they are there to show you what you don’t want as then you can move your thoughts towards what you do want.

Thoughts of joy – when you find yourself in a moment of judgment (yourself or others), choose to replace those thoughts with love and compassion.

Mostly, I invite you fill your head with thoughts of love. Love for yourself, love for your family, love for your friends, love for the planet, love for humanity, and simply choose that “LOVE IS”.  When faced with a challenging situation, ask yourself what would love say, think, or feel.

Until next week, fill your heart with joyful thoughts of love, peace, harmony, and absolute abundance in every aspect of your life.

See the Beauty in Ugly

April 15th, 2009 09:56 am by Carol

Do you look in the mirror and see wrinkles? Or perhaps blemishes? Maybe even weight issues? Do you look in the mirror and feel unworthy?

Do you go to work dreading another eight hours at the office? Or that your boss is unfair? Do you go to work and feel unworthy?

Do you look at your loving relationships with frustration and anger? Perhaps you aren’t in the relationship you desire and you see yourself alone. Do you feel unworthy of a successful relationship?

Whether it’s your self image, professional image, or relationship image, focusing on the ugly of it will bring you more ugly. I encourage you to find the beauty in ugly. Being happy where you are today allows the possibility of transformation for tomorrow. Assess your life with gentle, loving eyes. See the beauty in every aspect of your life. Find gratitude in every situation as it’s there if you look for it. See the beauty in others as it’s there. Say thank you for everything you love in your life and be gentle with what you perceive as bad and unwanted as there is beauty there too if you look for it.

Quotes of the day:

“Life is full of beauty. Notice it. Notice the bumble bee, the small child, and the smiling faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind. Live your life to the fullest potential, and fight for your dreams.”

~Ashley Smith

“Beauty is not in the face; beauty is a light in the heart.”

~Kahlil Gibran

“Everything has its beauty, but not everyone sees it.”

~Confucius

“The most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched; they must be felt with the heart.”

~Helen Keller

“People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in; their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within.”

~Elisabeth Kubler-Ross

For the next week, I invite you to find the beauty in ugly by:

Seeing through rose colored glasses and finding the good in a contrasting experience.

Shining light into the dark crevices of self doubt, fear, and perceived ugliness

Appreciating your yesterday’s as they brought you to today. Enjoy your today as it brings you to tomorrow. Get excited about your tomorrow’s as you are creating tomorrow today.

Asking what love would say/do. Love sees the beauty in all situations.

Mostly, I wish for you is to see the beauty in every situation as it is there if you look for it. Look in the mirror and focus on what makes you unique and beautiful. Look at your work and focus on what you love about what you do. Look at those you love and focus your attention on those qualities that make them unique and beautiful.

Until next week, be the beauty you want to see in the world by laughing, loving, and living in peace.
