First Things First

first things first

What is holding you back? Do you have a daily to-do-list that would require a week to accomplish? Are you passionate about something but don’t feel you have what it takes to create it? Do you procrastinate because the tasks at hand seem too big to grasp?

First things first….BREATHE! Step back from the endless to-do-list and breathe in the beauty of the simplicity of today. The sun will rise, shine, and then set with grace and ease today. Depending on your location, it might be sunny, it might be rainy or perhaps even snowy, but the sun isn’t worried about how the day will be. The sun simply keeps shining.

First things first….BREATHE! Step back from that dream you have but don’t know how to step into it by simply knowing today is perfect as is. Know that you don’t have to do everything at once to achieve it. Breathe in the knowledge that you are exactly where you should be in this moment and have the choice to change when you are ready.

First things first….BREATHE! Now that we’ve released the fear that shows up as frustrations, unworthiness, impatience, and so much more, we can now breathe in first things first. The first thing is to live in a space of love. Love is happiness, appreciation, gratitude, kindness, compassion, joy, friendship, oneness, now, simplicity, and life. When you come from a space of love, the endless ‘to-do-list’ isn’t overwhelming as you are able to see it one task at a time and move through it quicker. As well, you no longer beat yourself up if you don’t accomplish the entire list as you are living in love. Your dreams are exciting rather than foreboding as the fear of not being enough doesn’t exist in love. You know that all the people that you admire for their visions and creations all started with a dream and the knowing they were enough to create it.

(S)he Said:

When you examine the lives of the most influential people who have ever walked among us, you discover one thread that winds through them all. They have been aligned first with their spiritual nature and only then with their physical selves.” ~ Albert Einstein

“I don’t want to live. I want to love first, and live incidentally.” ~ Zelda Fitzgerald

For the next week, I invite you to first:

Be appreciative of where you are right now. Perhaps you are feeling overwhelmed, scared, angry, or even depressed. The awareness of your feelings allows you to see the contrast to what you do want to feel and can be that first feeling of changing to love.

Be love by releasing the need of judgment. Judgment of others choices you disagree with, but also judgment on what you have perceived as personal failures. Releasing judgment can be that first feeling of changing to love.

Be kind to yourself. See this moment as fresh and new and choose to release past beliefs that held you back and move forward in kindness for you, others, and life in general. Kindness could be that first feeling of changing to love.

Be choiceful – be aware of the excuses you use ‘to busy, to tired, etc’ and empower yourself in choices. Choose what feels right to you rather than using an excuse. If it feels right, you won’t be too busy or too tired or to anything. Choices can be that first feeling of changing to love.

Mostly, my wish for you is a week filled with ease and grace. I wish you a week that when fear arises you say first things first and breathe into your goodness, into your heart, and into the knowledge when you first live in love that you are able to shine as bright as the sun.

Until next time, you are #1 to me. How about you?

Hugs,
~Carol

Connect the Dots

Have you ever done the puzzles of connecting the dots? As a kid, they were one of my favorite puzzles. I loved watching the picture take form as I connected the dots. What would it turn out to be? Some were easy. Some were more intricate, but all of them were fun. I haven’t done them in years, but it brings back fond memories of imagination and play.

It made me think of the connections we make daily and the connection to all. Each day we choose which path to walk, which thought to think, and which feeling to hold. Minute by minute, dot by dot, we create our picture of how the day will take form.

As you go through your day, consciously choose to remain connected to the energy flow. Consciously choose to be connected to joy, love, peace, and abundance. Consciously choose to connect your dots in making a perfect day, dot by dot, moment by moment.

(S)he Said

”Gardens, scholars say, are the first sign of commitment to a community. When people plant corn they are saying, let’s stay here. And by their connection to the land, they are connected to one another.” ~ Ann Raver

”When we get too caught up in the busyness of the world, we lose connection with one another – and ourselves.”  ~ Jack Kornfield

”The conditions you need to be a good goalkeeper are exactly the same conditions you need to be a good sculptor. You must have a very good connection, in both professions, with time and space. ~ Eduardo Chillida

”In each of us, there lies a divine connection to a power more powerful than hate for violence. Today is the day to attune to that power and use it on behalf of peace on earth.” ~ Marianne Williamson

Affirmation: I am always connected to my feelings of love, peace, and compassion.

For the next week, I invite you to connect to:

Peaceful feelings as when you bring peace to yourself, you share that peace with the world.

Loving thoughts as when you bring love to yourself, you share that love with the world.

Trusting yourself as when you trust yourself, you are open to trusting others.

Having fun as when you are having fun, you are completely plugged in to your highest good.

Mostly, my wish for you is to connect to your truth as a peaceful, loving, joyful, giving, and all around amazing person that you are.

Until next week, enJOY connecting your amazing dots!

Hugs,
~Carol

Decisions, Decisions, Decisions

August 12th, 2009 12:18 pm by Carol

decisions1

Do you ever get so overwhelmed with such a busy life that you find making the simplest decisions challenging? Or perhaps you doubt your ability to make wise decisions and end up getting frustrated that you can’t make a decision at all.  Perhaps your ‘to do list’ is so long that knowing where to begin is the challenge, so you delay making decisions and the list continues to grow. Decisions, decisions, decisions!

Here is another decision to make. Do you choose to live from a space of kindness, compassion, and love? Or is your decision to focus on fear, failure, and disappointment? Right at this very moment, take a DEEP breath in knowing that every decision you make is perfect for the now moment. Every decision you make can and will evolve and grow as time goes on. Every decision you make from your heart will lead you to a better place.

Decide to live your life from happiness, joy, kindness, compassion, with lots of fun and laughter. Decide to see above fear and breathe in peace. Decide to smile rather than frown. Decide to give praise rather than criticism. Decide to see beauty rather than ugliness. Decide to be giving rather than taking. Decide to tell people to have a nice day rather than screw you. : )

This Week’s Affirmation: I always make the right decisions at the right time knowing my world is filled with love.

(S)he Said:

“Create a vision and never let the environment, other people’s beliefs, or the limits of what has been done in the past shape your decisions. Ignore conventional wisdom.” ~ Anthony Robbins

“No trumpets sound when the import decisions of our life are made. Destiny is made known silently.” ~ Agnes De Mille

“It’s not what’s happening to you now or what has happened in your past that determines who you become. Rather, it’s your decisions about what to focus on, what things mean to you, and what you’re going to do about them that will determine your ultimate destiny.” ~ Anthony Robbins

“It doesn’t matter which side of the fence you get off on sometimes. What matters most is getting off. You cannot make progress without making a decision.” ~ Jim Rohn

For the next week I invite you to decide to live your best life by:

Loving you, others, and life

Appreciating every experience you have as the contrasting ones help define what you do want and the amazing ones show you the way.

Forgiving yourself for making excuses on not living your best life as each time you become aware of the excuse it is ready to be dissolved.

Laughing and smiling your way through the day. It doesn’t require a big joke to find humor. Laugh at the silly little everyday things that take place and your mood will shift from fear to freedom.

Mostly, my wish for you is to realize that your decisions aren’t static. Each decision you make is right for the moment and if you grow out of it, it is okay to move forward. Being authentic with yourself allows you to be authentic with others. Live your life with love, peace, authenticity, warmth, kindness, generosity, and lots of fun and laughter, and decisions will simply flow to you.

Until next time, I’ve decided to live from a space of love, how about joining me?

Hugs,
~Carol
