”We need 4 hugs a day for survival,
8 hugs a day for maintenance,
And 12 hugs a day for growth”
~ Virginia Satir

Do you get 12 hugs a day? How amazing would it be to feel a great big bear hug at least 12 times a day? Just sit with that thought for a moment on getting those hugs. Are they hugs of comfort? Are they hugs of joy? Are they hugs of peace? Are they hugs of forgiveness? Or are they simply a hug recognizing another person exists and matters to you and the world?

Do you embrace life? Do you soak up the love around you and in you? Do you see possibilities in your contrasting experiences? Do you feel loved, whole, and complete?

If you are getting your 12 hugs in daily, I guarantee you will feel more joy, peace, love, and overall abundance and you will certainly feel connected.

Affirmation: I embrace each day with laughter and love.

 (S)he Said:

“A hug is like a boomerang – you get it back right away.” ~ Bil Keane

A hug is a smile with arms, a laugh with a stronger grip.”  ~ Terri Guillemets

”The only failure one should fear, is not hugging to the purpose they see as best.”  ~ George Eliot

“Oh, I love hugging. I wish I was an octopus, so I could hug 10 people at time!” ~ Drew Barrymore

For the next week I invite you to embrace:

Life fully - See each day as an amazing adventure that you get to orchestrate to your liking.

Those you love – Hug your significant other, your kids, your parents, your siblings, your framily (chosen family), your friends, your family pet.

A stranger – Ask someone as you go through the day if you can offer them a hug. If hugging a stranger is uncomfortable to you, I invite you to mentally give them a hug as you walk by and perhaps check in with yourself on where that discomfort is stemming from.

Mostly, I invite you to embrace yourself! Look in that mirror each day and see your inner truth of absolute freedom to love and live abundantly. Wrap your arms around you each morning and give yourself a HUGE BEAR HUG.

Until next time, whether it is out of love, resolving a conflict, or just saying hello and wishing another person well, make sure to hug it out at least 12 times a day. So stop reading and go HUG IT OUT!

Keep living big, loving big, and laughing along the journey.

It Had To Be You!

It had to be you: You showed me a different perspective of life that I didn’t see through my own eyes. For that I thank you.

It had to be you: Through you, I saw what grace and gratitude looked and felt like. For that I thank you.

It had to be you: You allowed me to experience forgiveness by creating a situation in which I needed to forgive you and to forgive myself. For that I thank you.

It had to be you: You brought such joy to my life and opened my eyes to new adventures and journeys that I might have missed out on if not for you. For that I thank you.

It had to be you: You are the purest example of love of self, love of others, and love of life. For that I thank you.

I invite each of you to look at all of your relationships in your life and see the key roles they play. Each person whether it’s a loving relationship or someone you are at odds with (or perhaps choose to hate) are part of your life to allow you to live, love, and grow.

Affirmation: I am surrounded by loving relationships.

(S)he Said:

He who is devoid of the power to forgive, is devoid of the power to love.”  ~ Martin Luther King

Appreciation is a wonderful thing: It makes what is excellent in others belong to us as well” ~ Voltaire

For the next week, I invite you to see the importance of all your relationships by seeing through the eyes of:

Forgiveness: When you are able to see with forgiving eyes, you move through conflict, hurt feelings, and resentment while inviting in a state of peace and allowing.

Appreciation: When you are able to appreciate everyone in your life for who they are and not who you want them to be, your relationships become gentle and relaxing.

Love: When you see through the eyes of love and can look into a person’s heart rather than their ego, life becomes a fun playground that is filled with people and events that you couldn’t have dreamt of had you not chosen to look at life through loving eyes.

Mostly, my wish for you is to see all of your relationships as part of your journey in becoming who you are today. Whether it was a loving experience or a contrasting experience, you grew with it, learned from it, laughed at it, and continued to love.

Until next time, thank you for being YOU!

Keep living big, loving big, and laughing along the journey.
