Customer Service

March 31st, 2010 10:41 am by Carol

Are you satisfied with your life? I’ve often heard that an unsatisfied customer will tell or vent to nine friends and satisfied people only share their story with five others. Often we don’t even tell the person or place that we are dissatisfied with, but rather choose to express anger, disappointed, etc. (venting) to others who have nothing to do with the situation, yet leaving a bad impression for them who may not have even met the person or the organization before.

Be your own best customer by sharing empowering and inspiring thoughts and feelings with those you come across and trust me, it will make you feel great at the same time. Smile and make eye contact. Hold the door open for others and thank those that open the door for you. Be kind to those in the service industry and let them know you appreciate their service. Sure situations will come up that frustrate you and/or anger you, but see the best in that person rather than taking it personally as a way to disrupt your day. We’re all customers in life striving to be our best selves and to be loved, healthy, and secure.

Affirmation: My life is filled with positive experiences and surprises!

For the next week, I invite you to increase your customer satisfaction by:

Being gentle with yourself and others and choosing to believe everyone is trying their best with their current circumstances.

Appreciating the people you come in contact with as even those that you have contrasting experiences with give you the opportunity to grow from it and allow you to appreciate the people who empower you at a deeper level.

Sharing your satisfaction: I love to ask for a manager (in person and on the phone) when I’ve had good or friendly service and let that manager know how nice and helpful the person was who took care of me. To see their expression change from worry (as they are used to hearing complaints) to the smile of appreciation when they see it’s a compliment is worth the few extra minutes it might take.

Mostly, I wish you a week filled with appreciation, gratitude, love, kindness, laughter and lots of hugs. You get to choose how to react to ‘great’ experiences as well as ‘contrasting’ ones, so choose reactions that will serve you well and lead you to an incredibly satisfied life.

Until next time, I’d like to let your manager know that you are amazingly kind, funny, brilliant, fun, and giving. It’s a pleasure doing business with you!

Keep living big, loving big, and laughing along the journey.

What The World Needs Now

March 24th, 2010 09:28 am by Carol

What in the world, does the world need? There are many organizations and causes of passionate people fighting for the world. They are fighting political lines, they are fighting (insert disease of concern here), they are fighting hunger, they are fighting poverty, they are fighting discrimination, they are fighting for animal rights, they are fighting for the environment, and they are fighting war. Every fight has a purpose and many of them are quite admirable, but does the world truly need more fighting?

What the world needs now is love. Love shows up as acceptance, peace, compassion, beauty, forgiveness, and allowing. Love is focusing on your cause in a positive way. Love is pro peace rather than anti war.

What the world needs now is compassion. Compassion allows us to see the world through loving eyes. Our world is filled with a variety of religious beliefs, cultural differences, ethnic differences, and economic differences. Compassion allows you to see that at everyone’s core is a person who wants to be loved, wants to feel safe, and wants to be happy.

What the world needs now is to see the individual rather than the masses. See the world as 1 person 7 billion times as that personalizes the situation and removes much of the fear in differences.

What the world needs now is for you to live your highest self. When you step into your greatness, you become an example for others to step into theirs. Focus on what you want in your life rather than what you don’t want. Focus on what you want and say YES. When we place our focus towards love, health, compassion, and peace, fear dissipates and hope rises.

Affirmation: I am living my dream!

For the next week I invite you to be what the world needs by:

Shining bright and being your best self. Apply your energy to what you want in your life.

Loving life, and that means even your contrasting experiences as they help to define what you do want.

Appreciating the diversity offered in the world as we’re a rainbow of colors, beliefs, and ideas.

Seeing the world as 1 person 7 billion times knowing that each person has the same core desire as you – be loved, be safe, and be happy.

Mostly, my wish is for you to say YES to love over hatred, abundance over lack, compassion over judgment, health over illness, and peace over conflict.

Until next time, be the change the world seeks by saying YES to love, peace, happiness, and abundance.

Keep living big, loving big, and laughing along the journey.

Are You Lucky?

March 17th, 2010 08:50 am by Carol

lucky charms

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

I love lucky charms! It is sugary sweet, yet, when you get down to it, no true substance. They taste good, but the goodness in your life isn’t derived from them. They give you a quick boost of sweetness, but if you don’t have sweetness in your life, that feeling will quickly dissipate. I rarely eat them, but smile when I see that leprechaun smiling and reminding me just how lucky I am.

Do you have a lucky charm? How about a favorite coin you keep in your pocket? Or perhaps a rabbit’s foot, or do you wear lucky underwear?

Do you consider yourself a lucky person? Or have you caught yourself saying “I wouldn’t have any luck if it weren’t for bad luck”? When you go about your day, listen to what you say to yourself. Do you say “I’m excited as this is going to be amazing?” Or do you catch yourself saying “here we go again.”

Within you at this very minute is where you luck lives; your thoughts. When you honor your highest self of love, joy, brilliance, creativity, and peace, ‘luck’ begins to flow. You find yourself in the right place to meet the right person, hear the right words, taste the right food, and live in joy. When you live your highest self, you are excited and joyful as others live their dreams and you share in the excitement of their ‘luck’.

Affirmation: I create my luck by knowing life is full of amazing possibilities.

For the next week I invite you allow your luck to flourish by:

Focusing on the goodness in your life and I mean every situation. Seek the good out of a contrasting experience and celebrate the good in an amazing experience.

Appreciating the fact that you always have a choice how to react to any situation in your life as lucky or unlucky – you choose.

Loving yourself through each experience in your week.

Forgiving yourself for having fear based reactions as contrasting experiences simply help lead you to what you do want. The less you beat yourself up on the past (which could be five minutes ago) the more ‘luck’ will come to you.

Mostly, my wish for you is a week filled with the absolute knowledge that you are an amazing piece of a worldwide jigsaw puzzle of humanity that is coming together. And when you see yourself fitting into this worldwide puzzle, you will be your lucky charm.

Until next week, here is to a heaping full bowl of your lucky charm – YOU!

Keep living big, loving big, and laughing along the journey.
