Word Play

April 28th, 2010 09:54 am by Carol

What did you say? What words do you use when you talk about yourself, about others, about life in general? Do you choose words that excite you, encourage you, inspire and empower you? Or do you choose words filled with fear of the unknown that make you nervous, or fuel your frustration, and disempower you?

As a writer, I love words! I love to listen to how people use them. I love being aware of what words I use as it allows me to decide if I need to reframe my internal dialogue or if I’m talking in a manner that empowers me to live my highest self. We all want a life filled with love, health, peace, and abundance, yet we often choose words that conflict with our desire. We want love, yet we choose to talk about relationships in our life that don’t work whether it’s personal or professional relationships. We want health, yet we choose to talk about ravaging diseases and fighting (fill in the blank) disease. We want peace, yet we choose to talk about the horrors of conflict and war. We want prosperity, yet we choose to talk about the failing economy, job loss, etc.

When you speak of love, fill yourself with words that encourage you to live your life through love. Speak of kindness, compassion, service, joy, passion, trust, and words that allow you to feel love. When you speak of health, fill yourself with words and phrases that make you feel healthy. When you speak of peace, choose stories of people and movements who are making changes in the world through peaceful actions of support, love, understanding, and positive action. When you speak of prosperity, speak of all the things you do have in your life. What you think, what you speak, and what you feel, expands, so choose words that feed your soul and allow you to live your highest self.

Affirmation: I choose words that inspire and empower me and others.

For the next week I invite you to play with words by:

Being aware of your words as through awareness is where change can take place. Listen to see if you are using words of inspiration or empowerment or possibly words of fear and limits.

Scrambling your words up and using the ones that make you feel good such as love, happy, fun, laughter, peace, healthy, and prosperity.

Writing down words that empower and inspire you. Then post them on your bathroom mirror to empower you to start your day off right. Or post them on the inside of your front door as a reminder to live by those words as you leave for the day

Choosing to reframe contrasting experiences with positive words, such as rather than not liking the weather, focus your attention on what that weather brings to the world – I am grateful that the rain nourishes the earth, rather than I hate rainy days.

Mostly, my wish for you is days filled with words that allow you to soar. Words that bring a smile to your face. Words that inspire and empower you to live your highest self. Words that show your inner being which is a person filled with love, laughter, health, compassion, abundance, kindness, and pure joy.

Until next time, choose words that reflect how you want your world to be, and I promise you, it will become that!

Keep living big, loving big, and laughing along the journey.

People Get Ready

April 21st, 2010 03:40 pm by Carol

What are you getting ready for? Are you getting ready for an amazing day filled with laughter and love? Or are you getting ready for a day filled with worry and fear? Are you getting ready for amazing opportunities and exciting experiences? Or are you getting ready for things not going right for you and worrying about what’s going to happen next? When you get a piece of ‘bad’ news, do you look for the silver lining in that news, or does it send you down a path of ‘oh no, here we go again’?

I encourage you to choose every moment as a ‘get ready’ moment on living your best life. Get your mind ready for living your dreams by filling your thoughts and feelings with loving, passionate, peaceful, abundant, and happy thoughts. Get ready to meet your doubts and fears with gentleness, compassion, and appreciation as they often show you what you don’t want, which allows you to move towards what you do want.

AFFIRMATION: I say YES to living my highest vision of myself as I am ready!

For the next week, I invite you to get ready by:

Being gentle with yourself on all aspects of your life by knowing whatever the situation, it was perfect in that moment. Each experience both ‘good and bad’ are part of life’s journey and you get to choose how to remember it. Enjoy your journey through gentleness.

Appreciating all the blessing in your life from the smallest to largest blessing as when you place your attention and focus on the positive aspects of your life, they expand. Enjoy your journey through appreciation.

Loving and laughing along the journey. Laughter has an amazing healing power and helps put you in or keep you in a state of joy. Enjoy your journey through love and laughter.

Mostly, my wish for you is a week that you simply bloom into the amazing person inside filled with dreams, desires, and wishes as you ARE ready to live the very best vision of yourself.

Until next time, people get ready as the time is now!

Keep living big, loving big, and laughing along the journey.

Focused Family – April Issue

Focused Family

Teaching Your Children Law Of Attraction

Welcome to Focused Family, our monthly newsletter on teaching the law of attraction to children.  We’re very happy and excited that you’re here. Each month we’ll share a parent tip, a game or exercise to share with your kids, and a powerful child manifestation story to keep you inspired and focused on creating the best possible family.

I’m so happy and grateful to share this work with you.  Until next time… dream big and keep focusing on what you’re wanting.

Life is good,

Steffani

Quote: “Your children will see what you’re all about by what you live rather than what you say.” ~ Dr. Wayne Dyer

Parent tip of the month: Be Happy!

We’re keeping it very simple this month and focusing on being happy! Did you know that happier thoughts lead to essentially a happier biochemistry and a happier, healthier body? Negative thoughts and stress have been shown to seriously degrade the body and the functioning of the brain. This happens because it’s our thoughts and emotions that are continuously reassembling, reorganizing, and re-creating our body. So this month start thinking happy thoughts and start being happy. Happiness is a choice. It’s a feeling state of being. When you’re feeling down, you can change that in an instant. Think of something that makes you happy, talk to a friend that makes you smile, listen to your favorite song or start singing. All of these things will change your emotion and you’ll start to feel good. Remember feeling good is the key to acquiring everything you’ve dreamed of. Isn’t that a great reason to be happy and choose positive thoughts?  After all, how can we set an example for our kids if we’re not happy doing it? How can we tell them to live a life with passion joy and happiness if we’re not doing it ourselves? I just bought a rock the other day that I put at the entrance to our home; it says “Think about happy stuff.”  Every time I look at it I smile and I’m happy as I walk through the door. What a great example.

Play With Me: Vision Boards

(Monthly game)

If you’ve been practicing the law of attraction you’ve probably made a vision board or something similar.  Even writing down things that we want makes us 300% more likely to attain that goal.  Vision boards are a wonderful way to put your focus your attention and your energy on the things you want to manifest in your life. Big or small, physical or emotional, anything you’re wanting can go on a vision board. Why not make a vision board with your kids?  Here’s a simple way to do it.  Get a piece of cardboard or create paper, some tape or glue and a few magazines.  Start asking your kids what they want to create in their lives.  If they’re as young as 2 or 3 you can just ask them about things they like.  “You love bananas don’t you?”  Great so we cut out some bananas and they go on the board.  “Do you like it when your friends are nice to you at school?”  Cool, so we find some happy nice kids and put them on the board.  “You love to ride your bike?”  Perfect, we put that on the board.  “You love to snuggle with Mommy!”  We can even add a family photo to the board.  And if your kids are older 4 – 6 they can help you even more by telling you things they want that they don’t have yet.  “You want a new pair of roller blades.”  That goes on the board.  “You want to perform in the school play.”  That goes on the board.  It’s easy to find a symbol or picture to represent almost anything.  You can even add to them, or draw something yourself.  And the older they get the can do it themselves.  I like to add my name and the date to the board.  So I claim all of those things as my dreams and goals and so I can watch how quickly those things manifest in my life.  It’s a great project to do with your kids and a great way to show them how to focus on their dreams and put some positive energy towards their goals.

Kid Power!

(The latest and greatest Kids Manifestation Story)

My friend, who lives in California, has a beautiful 6-year old girl who’s very into High School Musical. So much so that she wanted to buy the DVD, but her parents were waiting for her birthday. She kept waking up and looking for the DVD to come to her house. They explained to her that if she didn’t order the DVD it wouldn’t come. But she kept looking; she would race to the mailbox to check for it. They didn’t understand. One day, there was an envelope for their neighbor in their box. They walked over with their daughter to give it to their neighbor. The neighbor opened it in front of them and it contained some DVD’s friends had sent to them for their grand-kids. One of them of course was High School Musical. The girl started jumping for joy! That’s my favorite movie, she shouted. The neighbor happily gave it to her stating that they already had a copy of their own. Coincidence? I think not. Her parents were amazed. What a powerful girl!
