Time After Time

Do you catch yourself saying statements such as: There is not enough time in the day? Or, I don’t have time for that. How about, I wish I had time to do that or I’m overbooked. I must admit, every now and then I allow that ‘I don’t have enough time’ bug to creep into my experience and when I recognize that happening, I simply respond by saying “there is always enough time to do what I love.”

When you live from a space of ‘there is always enough time to do what I love’, you’ve stepped into empowerment. You have chosen to live in the moment and not worry about the ‘to do list’ as you know there is always plenty of time. You see those old statements simply as excuses that keep you from stepping into your greatness and you’ve chosen to live your highest self.

This doesn’t mean there are parts of life that are ‘have to do’s’ – going to your job, making dinner, etc. Yet it does mean you’ve chosen to see every minute of your day as precious and loving and you have chosen to find enjoyment and peace with the now moment. Time after time after time, you choose from a space of love what is next. And when you choose from love, time is just a four letter word.

Affirmation: Time is always on my side as I enjoy where I am at in each moment.

(S)he Said:

Time is too slow for those who wait, too swift for those who fear, too long for those who grieve, too short for those who rejoice, but for those who love, time is eternity.” ~ Henry Van Dyke

“Don’t say you don’t have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Michelangelo, Mother Teresa, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein.” ~ H. Jackson Brown Jr.

“The only reason for time is so that everything doesn’t happen at once.”  ~ Albert Einstein

“Life is all about timing – the unreachable becomes reachable, the unavailable becomes available, the unattainable – attainable. Have the patience, wait it out it’s all about timing.” ~ Stacey Charter

For the next week I invite you to cherish your time by:

Appreciating where you are at this moment. Whether you are reading this at work, or at home, look around your environment and appreciate this moment in time. Look for the beauty that is right there and say thank you.

Waking up in the morning and before your feet hit the floor, say “I am so excited for an amazing day ahead knowing that everything will flow in perfect timing,” or some variation of that.

Forgiving yourself when you allow that time bug to hit you as it’s just buzzing around to remind you that time is truly a perception.

Loving you, loving others, and loving life.

Mostly, my wish for you this week is to see time as endless as you live in the moment. Cherish your past experiences fondly, look forward to your future experiences with enthusiasm and excitement on what is to come. Right now, in this moment, love where you are.

Until next time, what time is it? Keep living big, loving big, and laughing along the journey.

Where Are You Going?

February 2nd, 2011 03:14 pm by Carol

Where are you going? Really – where are you going? Are you the one who says the day is dragging by and you wished it were Friday already? Are you the one who says it’s just another day? Are you the one who will be happy when you’ve reached a particular destination? Your destination could be an upcoming vacation that will make you happy. It could be losing weight and then you’ll be happy. It may be you are going towards a new job, a new relationship, a new home and the arrival is when the celebration will take place.

Having a destination in mind can be fun and possibly inspire the potential changes required to reach that destination. However, the true joy is the journey; the destination is the cherry on top. Your Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday may feel the same. You get up each day, go to the same job, probably take the same route to get there, however you have an opportunity to make it a different experience each time by enjoying the journey rather than the destination.

The joy in the journey can be found through awareness. Be aware that this moment is special, it’s not yesterday, it’s not tomorrow, it’s right now. Through awareness you have an opportunity to see everything deeper, richer, happier, and easier. When we group 365 days together, it makes a year. Rather than wishing it was Friday, or spring, or summer, or your birthday, or a favorite holiday, you have the opportunity to celebrate the right now.

Affirmation: Each experience brings me love, laughter, and deeper awareness to loving what is.

“Joy is not in things; it’s in us.” ~ Richard Wagner

“It is good to have an end to journey toward; but it is the journey that matters, in the end.” ~ Ursula K. LeGuin

“Focus on the journey, not the destination. Joy is found not in finishing an activity but in doing it.” ~ Greg Anderson

For the next week I invite you to enjoy the journey by:

Appreciating the now; when you start feeling frustrated where you are right now, stop, breathe, and think of things you appreciate. Perhaps your work isn’t your dream job, but appreciate what it does provide you – shelter, food, experience towards your dream job.

Loving what is. Get excited about your upcoming plans and dreams, just don’t forget to love what is. Love today for what it brings you. Love the weather for what it offers you. Love the people in your day who enhance your experience to the ones teaching you patience, understanding, and forgiveness.

Mostly, my wish for you is a week of expanding your happy loving moments through love and laughter while lessening your sad and fearful moments through gentleness and forgiveness. I’m wishing you a week filled with so much laughter and joy that your dream is to have more days like today rather than wishing for next week.

Until next time, care to join me on destination joy?

Keep living big, loving big, and laughing along the journey.
