Happy Friday to everyone! What a beautiful summer day!!
As we continue on our journeys for living the best possible lives and enjoying the moment, I thought I’d send out some helpful tips you may find useful in your journey – and that is using affirmations.
What a great thing to do is to affirm to yourself your greatness, love, and your true value to this world.
Some tips on writing affirmations are:
Keep it positive
Write them in first person
Write it as if it is done
Write it regarding beliefs you are striving for.
It isn’t necessary to affirm things you already are or already have, however you need to make the affirmation believable for you.
Make it fun and believable – something you can get excited about saying.
Make them simple and something easy to say and remember and FEEL.
I have a couple small affirmation books by Wayne Dyer and Louis Hay that I absolutely love and seem to always open up the book to the perfect affirmation for that moment.
Using the affirmations:
Say them often
Put them in a place you will look at them often – bathroom mirror, refrigerator, etc.
Read them first thing in the morning (what a great way to start the day)
Read them before you go to bed at night (a great way to enter a peaceful sleep by stating your affirmations of who you truly are)
Don’t stress about ‘writing’ your affirmations as you will feel if it’s a good one for you.
If writing/reading it empowers you – you are on the right track!!
Some examples of affirmations are:
I am so happy and grateful for my perfect health as I am strong mentally and physically.
I am so happy and grateful that I give and receive love easily.
I am so happy and grateful that I have an unlimited source of financial means as money comes to me easily.
I am so happy and grateful for the peace and joy I experience each day.
I am so happy and grateful for my romantic relationship as we are perfect for each other.
I am so happy and grateful that my days are spent surrounded by supportive, creative people and I am paid well for my contributions.
These are just a few samples, the best affirmations are ones written in your voice and how you talk. Saying someone else’s words may not resonate with you.
HAVE FUN writing them!!
