Positive Focus building overview

The ambience of the Positive Focus Facility is electric and palpable.

It provides a synergistic atmosphere for individuals and organizations committed to the same “positive focus” vision. From this unified spirit, a unique, diverse, constructive, creative world emanates. The concentrated positive focus of the community exponentially accelerates the creative process and provides many opportunities to joint venture and to stimulate thought by exposure to innovations in other unrelated contexts.

Positive Focus provides breathtaking views of Lake Michigan and downtown Chicago. You feel the energy of the Lake and the City from every vantage point. Positive Focus combines living and vocation space. The vocation spaces accommodate retail, office space, a preschool and school, spaces for the arts, and a Serenity & Wellness Boutique Hotel with performance, banquet and convention space. The development utilizes sustainability architecture and principles. It has a roof top green space and an open-air quadrangle for residents and public use.

At Positive Focus everything physical (the architecture, building materials, decorations, lighting, landscaping, etc.) embodies our values. It is a beautiful and harmonious oasis of fun, peace, pleasantness, creativity, caring, and warmth. Water flows (figuratively, aurally, and physically) throughout the space, creating an undercurrent of sound and motion that subconsciously reminds us to always focus on, and live, positive flow. Even when festive and bubbling with laughter, joy and activity, there is an underlying calmness throughout the space.

Child Care

October 14th, 2007 08:55 pm by Carol

A supportive child care environment that lovingly responds to the needs of young children based on the Reggio Emilia philosophy. There are separate spaces for quiet and sensory areas and distinct areas specifically for infants (starting at 6 weeks old), early walkers, and preschool children. An outside play area is also available in the development quadrangle. Parents have available a separate space where they can drop in and spend time (e.g. lunch hour) with their child. Philosophically, the environment, nurtures independence and mutual respect. As children are ready and if they will be transitioning into the school, they have the opportunity to spend some of the day in Child Care area and a set portion of part of their day in the Sudbury School area to ease the transition.
