Parenting Tip Of The Month: Be Vocal!
No matter what age your children are, this month I encourage you to talk about your dreams in front of your kids. Be as vocal as possible. Share with them your visions and dreams. Don’t be afraid to talk them through your visualizing, your desires. A lot of law of attraction students love to talk about their dreams and desires with other LOA students. Why don’t we talk about them with everyone? Especially our kids. Tell them your 6 month goals, your 1 year goals, your 5 year plans. Tell them about the luxurious vacation you’re creating. The abundance of money that’s flowing into your bank account. The new friends and powerful business partners that are flowing quickly and easily into your life. Share with them your latest and greatest dreams and goals. And dream big! See who can dream the biggest! Michelangelo said “Our problem is not that our hopes are too high and we never reach them. It’s that they are too low and we do.” Don’t just walk the walk; talk the talk, out loud and proud. Here are some ideas. Start with this….Hey kids; I’m really excited about…..Do you know what I love? I love….I feel so happy when I…..I’m grateful that I get the chance to……I find so much joy when I think about…..I was just thinking that I’d really like to…… Tell them all about it. At the dinner table, every morning, driving to school. Be as vocal as possible about your dreams. They’ll be encouraged to tell others about theirs. Pretty soon it will be common place to share their dreams and wishes. Your kids will begin to consciously create and you’ll get to see their dreams come true. When they see you doing it, they’re encouraged to do the same. I think you’ll be glad you did. And your children will benefit.
Play With Me: A to Z
Did you ever take road trips when you were a kid? Do you remember the fun yet monotonous games you used to play on the road? My three sisters and my brother and I used to make up our own games. And we also played some of the old favorites like the A to Z game. You know the game where you try to find every letter of the alphabet in order on license plates or signs as they pass by. X and Z were always the hardest. I don’t know if we ever actually finished the game. Someone would inevitably yell out “there I saw a Z” and we’d all sigh with relief. Well let’s put an LOA spin on it. You don’t have to do this only on the road, you can do it in the grocery store, out for a walk or while reading a magazine. When your child finds a letter A let them tell you something that starts with A that they’re wanting. The older they get the better they get at it. My nephew said to me with a smile “ok I want A car”. Fine, then he needed to come up with something else for the letter C. He decided he wanted a cougar. (The animal, not the newest definition of that word.) And the more they play this game the easier it is for them to decide what they want. You won’t have to hear “nothing” when talking about their dreams ever again. They’ll have an A to Z list for you. The more you can help them put their focus and attention on their dreams the easier it will be for them to create it. Before you know it you’ll have some powerful manifestors on your hands.
(The latest and greatest Kids Manifestation Story)
My best friend Jen recently told me a story about her son Grady who was 3 1/2 years old at the time. They were at the grocery store, strolling through the aisles doing some shopping, when Grady blurted out, “chocolate milk!” Jen told him with a smile “sorry we’re not getting any chocolate milk today sweetie”. They turned down the next aisle and Grady said “chocolate milk”. Again Jen told him “sorry doll no chocolate milk today”. Grady was persistent, as we all know 3 year olds can be. He never wavered in his desire. He had no self doubt. He knew what he wanted and he kept asking for it. Each time he looked at his mom with renewed expectation. “Chocolate Milk!” When Jen turned down the last aisle she saw an employee standing at the end near the dairy section. Jen thought “hmmm this is interesting I wonder what she’s up to.” As Jen approached her the woman quickly handed her a coupon for a FREE chocolate milk. Ask, Believe, Receive! Jen decided at that moment that she would ask more for what she wanted. Grady was a powerful manifestor.
