This picture captures one of those times. I enjoy when I get to see what they are getting into. Especially when it’s a moment that’s funny. Luca was trying to climb up on Micha’s back and slipped. Micha’s un-phased with Luca’s head in her butt. As long as he’s not touching her toy she’s fine.
Luca wants so desperately to be as close to Micha as possible. To him, everything she does is cool. Micha loves having her own personal baby doll and has perfected being in charge. She’s mostly a sweet, loving big sister and her baby doll is well cared for.
As I look at this picture it reminds me of how Michaela recently described school. I asked what she’s done one morning. She said, “You know…plaaaaay, have fuuuuun!” She said no more. That’s her life: play and have fun. When I told Jeff, he said, “Wow, wouldn’t it be awesome if that’s what we did everyday?”
As grown-ups we can’t afford to only play and have fun, but we can do a little of both each day. Otherwise, life is going to pass us, filled with too much seriousness and work. Laughter is the best medicine and yet, we adults often “don’t have time” for nonsense. Make time. This week seek out laughter and fun with friends. Surround yourself with silliness. Bury your head in someone’s butt-no, don’t really do that; the picture won’t be as funny as this one! But laughing feels good. Playing and having fun is awesome so leave the office early (especially since it’s been warmer) and enjoy life. You’ll never ever get today back so make the most of it!
I hope you have a silly and playful week!
