The moment I heard that Wayne Dyer transitioned I was in shock. Wayne no longer here? A man larger than life gone? How could that be?? Then I remembered that he is larger than life and although he has left his physical body, his essence, his teachings, his books, his life will continue on through all the people he has touched. His body is gone and yet his spirit has grown.
I have seen dozens if not hundreds of tributes on social media in his honor and each has provided comfort, a smile and often a laugh. I decided to gather as many of them as I have seen to share of those who new him personally.
You were my first and favorite mentor. Shine bright, fly high and love your journey.
Big hugs and mucho love Carol

Message on his Facebook page, Aug. 30, 2015: Wayne has left his body, passing away through the night. He always said he couldn’t wait for this next adventure to begin and had no fear of dying. Our hearts are broken, but we smile to think of how much our scurvy elephant will enjoy the other side.
We Love You Forever Dad/Wayne
The Dyer Family
(Note: His family has asked to let people know that Wayne didn’t transition due to leukemia as the autopsy confirmed there was no sign of it in his body.) He left this earth due to heart issues, well truly because his soul was ready to leave and his heart agreed.
SKYE DYER – It’s taken me a little while to digest all of your kind words about my dad- who was bigger than life to me. I have always felt so grateful for my unique family, and especially my dad. I have learned so much from him and treasure every moment that I’ve been lucky enough to spend with him in this life. My heart is so sad, but I know that he is happy in another place and I know he will always be with me. He was truly love personified. I will forever love and miss him.
SERENA DYER PISONI – Here is a photo of when my dad told me he dedicated his most recent book, Memories of Heaven, to my daughter Sailor. I cried, as I was so touched. I will spend my entire life teaching her about her grandpa. I think she’ll get a kick over the fact that he thought they looked identical! Every comment and like has brought comfort and a smile to my face. My dad is loving this outpouring of love. He is with me, always. As he said to me so many times, “I will never leave you Serena, I’ll just be in another room.”
TRACY LYNN DYER – This is the last photo I have of my dad. He sent it to me from Australia right before he went on stage. I gave him that shirt for his birthday and he said he wanted to save it for that talk – he didn’t want to spill anything on it – which is something I inherited from him. Thank you for all the times, the lessons, the love and mostly for all the laughter. I chose my parents wisely and I couldn’t be more grateful for you. I love you now and forever. Until we meet again.
When people who are dear to me make their transition into Nonphysical (even with everything I have learned from Abraham—and all that I KNOW to be true) I feel an emptiness that seems to have no limit to its bottom—for a while. We have made a place in our lives for them. Sometimes our lives literally revolve around them. And it is no small adjustment for any of us when they are no longer here with us, like they have always been.
But after a while, that awful emptiness lessens, and then after more time passes and we have adjusted even more to our new point of view without them—something truly wonderful begins to happen. They begin to show up in new and wonderful ways. It’s like they meld with us vibrationally and mentally. Their powerful thoughts of love and appreciation and all manner of interesting awarenesses begin to move into my mind. And then I remember that there is no death. Just a changing of perspective and a deepening of love and happiness and togetherness.
I have loved Wayne Dyer for many years. I know you have, too. And I want you to know that today I can feel, from the depths of everything that I am, the love that he is feeling for all of us! I cannot even find words to explain how these dear hearts who we have known and loved feel about all of us. How ALIVE they are. How INTERESTED IN US they are and how AVAILABLE TO US they will ever more be.
I am feeling so much love today from our dearly departed,
And I am loving them back,
LOUISE HAY – My good friend Dr. Wayne W. Dyer passed away today. I am saying affirmations for him and his family and I know he will be shinning down upon us all from the otherside.
LIZ DAWN DONAHUE – My Dear Friends, I have been trying to find the words to write about Wayne Dyer. My heart is heavy and I am in shock. Yesterday was filled with tears and many phone calls. This was a surprise to everyone and a great loss in our world. I have had the honor to call him a friend for over 16 years. We all feel this loss…and at the same moment, we know that he has simply changed his clothes. Wayne is wearing a different pair of Birkenstock’s now.
Wayne was slated to speak at CYL in just two months. Our team has discussed this at length, and feel that it is appropriate to honor Wayne’s life at the upcoming CYL conference.
Wayne will be with us in spirit and we will take his speaking slot and have a Celebration of the Life and Teachings of Wayne Dyer, joined by the other speakers at the event. Our intention is to use this time to help those of us who knew him to heal and for those new to Wayne, to begin to experience his wonderful life-changing teachings.
We will all walk through this experience together and do what Wayne would want us to do, which is to embrace what is, and learn and grow from it.
Wayne’s life was completely dedicated to teaching the world how to live in the highest level of integrity, open hearted compassion and joy. We will assist in carrying on his work.
I love you Wayne and will deeply miss you.

I was blessed to spend time with Wayne and his family on one of his tours, and he spoke at one of my Experts Academy events. He was such a humble and bright spirit. I know Doc would be terribly upset with me if I were sad about his transition so, I will use everything I ever learned from him and do what I know best – Pray.
Precious Lord Of The Universe:
I trust You. I trust Your wisdom. I trust Your love. I trust that in this moment Your arms are opened wide to receive the spirit of my brother and friend Dr. Wayne Walter Dyer, your son, my friend. In this moment I confess I am in battle between my sadness and Your wisdom. I confess that the human in me wants to deny the reality of this moment, the passing of my brother and ask You why? Why him? Why now? I forgive myself and ask Your forgiveness for the strains of human selfishness that would lead me down that path. Instead God, I ask for your grace and mercy to fall fresh on his children. I ask that you send Your Comforter to rock them gently in Your love. Dear God, let not their hearts be troubled; let them know there is no loss or separation in your Spirit. I ask that those closest to him, those he loved and those who loved him be filled with Your spirit of peace. I ask God that your mercy will allow this to be a gentle passing, a passing that reflected his life, his gentleness and his love. I ask God that you allow all who knew him, knew of his good works, those who were the benefactors of the wisdom You gave to him, become the living, breathing demonstrations of all he taught and believed. Let us remember him with joy in our hearts. Let us use his works as the guidepost for how we are to live. Let us speak highly, fondly, lovingly of him knowing that we are his legacy. Help us God to understand and to surrender to You that which we do not understand. Help me God to remember and celebrate the life of my brother and friend. I now call forth the blanket of Your peace to fall on us all as our brother makes his sojourn to You.
I Let It Be!
I Ask! I Allow!
I know You Become All That I Ask.
And So It Is!
Amen and Ache!

SUNNY DAWN JOHNSTON – This beautiful soul is now in Spirit. Dr. Wayne W. Dyer has touched many of our hearts in AMAZING ways. He was such a gracious loving soul to me when we worked together at Celebrate Your Life with Mishka Productions He was absolutely one of the GREAT teachers who I was blessed to be a colleague of as well. He taught me to always be myself and honor each and every person in front of you… always. We are all equal. I am grateful to Wayne for so many things, but I observed this beautiful quality in every interaction we had over the years. Thank you Wayne.

THE FORD INSTITUTE – Tonight please join The Ford Institute in blessing the soul and spirit ofWayne Dyer. We’re reminded of the ways Debbie Ford used to describe her dear friend Wayne. She called him “a miracle child,” “balm for the broken heart,” “a gift to the world,” and “the universe’s wish fulfilled.” We are sending all our love to the Dyer family, Wayne’s Hay House family, and all the hearts he touched. What a remarkable man. What a phenomenal life.

And despite my shock and sadness over Wayne’s sudden exit from his body on August 29, the night of the Super Moon in Pisces, I feel such a sense of celebration for him and the way he chose to leave. Happy, healthy, dead. Just like he wanted it. Well done, my friend, well done. We will miss your giant presence and continual inspiration. And all the laughs. And will see you on the other side when it’s time.

Wayne, thank you for all the extraordinary work you have done while on this earth. Sending love to you in spirit and all of those you have touched.
LISA WILLIAMS – It’s a sad day in the world of spirituality. One dear, sweet, blessed man, Dr. Wayne W. Dyer transitioned over to the world of spirit. He changed the lives of many with his inspirational talks, laughter and insight. One of those lives that were changed was my own father and I owe it to Wayne, for opening my fathers eyes on the Hay House cruise years ago. I had the absolute pleasure to work with him and spend quality time with him a few years ago, what a delight and a soul that will be truly missed!
When you dance, your purpose is not to get to a certain place on the floor. It’s to enjoy each step along the way. – Wayne Dyer
JOAN BORYSENKO – Wayne Dyer has passed out of his body to begin a new adventure. He was a friend and colleague I’ll ever cherish. His kindness to strangers and friends, and his eagerness to mentor people who had a powerful message to give the world, was extraordinary. A lot of people got their start with Wayne’s help. He was ever generous in a way so rarely seen, and will be missed greatly by the generations of people who he inspired with his wisdom and humor! Godspeed, bright spirit. And heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.
JAMES REDFIELD – Wayne was my hero and friend, and his passing has saddened me. I remember we met at one of his lectures in Atlanta, and I gave him the Celestine Prophecy in manuscript form. He told me not to listen to anyone who said I couldn’t get the book out… to just go do it. That was Wayne.
Widely known in recent years as a popular TV personality and lecturer, he penned dozens of self-help books that sold millions of copies around the world. He became a fixture on PBS for decades.
But his legacy is so much larger.
As most know, he was part of the early Human Potential Movement. Few realize that, in part, he put that movement on the map.
The “Human Potential Movement” holds one basic tenant: that within each of us is a budding giant of self-knowledge and wisdom, waiting to emerge. In other words, all of us grow up a mere shadow of what we can become.
Much of the understanding of how to actualize this potential was worked out in the 1970’s and ’80s — based on the work of such pioneers as Carl Jung, Aldous Huxley, George Leonard, and Abraham Maslow. The gestation of the movement occurred mostly in small enclaves in university psychology departments, or little think-tanks and centers around the world. Most notable of these centers was Esalen Institute, which was cofounded by Micheal Murphy — also an important figure — to host workshops by many of these early thinkers. Still, at the time, few in the general public knew about the HPM.
Then something big happened… Wayne Dyer appeared on the Johnny Carson show.
Months earlier he had released his book, Your Erroneous Zones, and at first, it languished. Then he proved his own theories by traveling the US diligently, visiting every bookstore and every TV station that would let him talk. Why did he labor so furiously? Because he knew he had something to say: “Everyone could breakthrough to their authentic self.”
Not only was Wayne on the Johnny Carson show. He was on this iconic TV show a reported 36 times and was interviewed by every other major pundit around the world for years. His charm and quick wit won over every naysayer, “Yes, we can reach our potential. No, I’m not reducing tough psychological work to superficial ideas. Yes, growth really is more simple than anyone knows.” His favorite theme was “use your power of focused intention and visualization.”
Later he moved with the rest of us toward a more spiritual explanation, just as simple: Listen to the dreams of your soul, then hold that image of who you want to become until the Synchronicity begins to guide you there. In the course of a lifetime, Wayne lived that truth, and more than anyone caused it to seep deeply into Human Culture.
For instance, just think back to the recent PGA major golf championship, viewed worldwide. Golfer Jason Day was on his way to winning, and commentators began noting approvingly that before every shot, he paused consciously to half close his eyes and visualize the ball going toward the hole. The idea of Self-Actualization and visualization has reached all the way to golf and beyond.
That was the legacy of Wayne Dyer.
LES BROWN – Dr. Wayne Dyer was a master teacher, spiritual thought leader, and a perpetual student of the human experience. He combined a love for people with the quest to seek a deeper and richer spiritual path through all of life’s experiences. Our thoughts, love, and prayers are with his family, friends, and colleagues at Hay House. His presence will be missed, but his work will continue to inspire us.
You have something special. You have GREATNESS within you!
MICHAEL CHASE – I’ve been wanting to post a message for over a week now about Dr. Wayne Dyer’s passing. I guess I just needed some time to process this loss. If you’ve followed my work over the years then you know what an impact he’s had on me. Dr. Dyer’s teachings completely turned my life around when I lost my father to suicide. Receiving a copy of “You’ll See It When You Believe It” from a friend healed my heart and set me out on a whole new path. After reading that book, it wasn’t long before my shelf was filled with almost everything Wayne had ever written. His lessons on love, resilience and forgiveness made a profound difference in my life. On a professional note, he was the reason I pursued a career in writing and speaking. It was such an honor and a dream come true to share a stage with him at several Hay House events. (I’ll never forget how terrified I was the first time I had to go on right after him — talk about a tough act to follow!) Wayne’s ability to captivate an audience was truly extraordinary. Thank you Dr. Dyer for your unparalleled inspiration. I will miss your warmth, wisdom and humor. Your legacy of love and light will remain in my heart forever…
BARBARA DE ANGELIS – HONORING MY DEAR FRIEND WAYNE DYER: MASTER TEACHER, SOUL-AWAKENER, LIGHTWORKER, COSMIC MESSENGER, ON THE OCCASION OF HIS ASCENSION FROM THE BODY
One hour ago I received a message that my old friend and colleague bestselling author and master teacher Wayne Dyer had unexpectedly and suddenly left his body. Like all of us at the #HayHouse Family, as well as all who loved Wayne, I am shocked and griefstricken at the thought that Wayne has departed for higher realms so soon. And yet I fully know and believe that he has leapt out of his body into the most effulgent Light, and is being heralded and celebrated by angels, divine beings, guides, ancient teachers and gurus for his absolutely devoted and supreme service to the planet during his time here.
I have known Wayne since the 1980’s when he along with the magnificent Louise Hay, the brilliant Deepak Chopra and myself all toured together giving speeches and conferences on transformation. How privileged I felt to be among such luminaries! We spent many contemplative hours together in deep discussion about life, the spiritual path and the mysteries of karma, love, and every other intense topic.
Wayne was always so generous with me over the years, endorsing my books, appearing in my TV infomercial, and just this year, writing a spectacular endorsement and review of my new book Soul Shifts. It was so delightful to see him again at Hay House events. The photo below was taken just a few months ago at the I CAN DO IT Denver event.
I have always said that Wayne was one of my fellow teachers for whom I had so much respect because of his own personal dedication to the exploration and unfolding of his consciousness. He was a serious spiritual student, and sought out the Truth wherever he could in whatever way he could, even when it took him into areas that were outside of the conventional realm of psychology or public approval. In this way, he was an authentic, sincere and humble seeker, and took the path of awakening seriously. I believe this is one of the reasons we had such mutual respect–he also recognized me as a serious seeker and always honored me for having had formal spiritual teachers and training, and having dedicated my life to spiritual freedom.
There are times of grace when life makes sense and we feel we are in tune with its mysteries, and then there are other more baffling times when we cannot fathom why things happen as they do. This is one of those times, when I know how many more lives Wayne could have touched if he had remained on the planet. And yet, who knows what divine task he has been assigned in the invisible realms, one I am certain that will be showering blessings down upon us all, those who knew and loved him, and even those who did not and are yet to discover his gifts by reading his many books, listening to his audios, drwaynedyer.com or studying his message through the legacy of wisdom he is leaving through Hay House.
I know Wayne lived as I try to–fully drenched in the state of Love, giving all to everyone and to every moment, constantly praying to be of high service to the upliftment and awakening of the planet, so that whenever he left this world, he would know that he had fulfilled his destiny.. and he has.
I offer my love and comfort to Wayne’s family and children, to all of my fellow authors and teachers and the staff at his Hay House Family, to my friend and his beloved longtime right-hand angel Maya Lobos, and to all of his readers, followers and fans around the world.
I bow in humble gratitude, my heart bathed in tears of love and deep appreciation to you beloved Wayne, as you ascend now to merge with the Supreme Love, Supreme Bliss, and Supreme Light.
May your soul be blessed now and forever on its divine journey, and may the Divine Embrace of the Creator tenderly welcome you Home.
YOU ARE LOVED
