You know what I love about nature? It just happens. It doesn’t worry how will the sun come up tomorrow as it simply knows it will. Nature doesn’t get angry about below freezing temperatures as it knows there is a purpose to that temperature in the grand scheme of life. Nature has a purpose for every experience. Nature doesn’t plant seeds and then sit and wait impatiently for the seed to sprout and bloom as it knows when the time is right, an amazing plant will unfold.
You know what I love about spring? It just happens. Living in a climate where we get all four seasons (and sometimes in the same 24 hour period), I love how all of a sudden, it’s spring. Yes, I know spring arrives in mid March, so there is an expectation of it coming. But each year I’m amazed at how it’s just here, right before my eyes. You take a walk outside and bam – the grass is green, the flowers are blooming, and the trees are budding. With a blink of an eye you see the beauty that nature allows so effortlessly. It wasn’t there just yesterday, or maybe even from morning until noon, but it’s there now in all of its natural glory. Spring has sprung.
I invite you to spring ahead in your life by planting thoughts of abundance, happiness, health, peace, and all things being possible and simply allow them to flourish. Nurture them by focusing on the positive aspects of your life. Weed out any thoughts and feelings that are holding you back from living your best life. Spring forward into the true person you are which is a person with unlimited love, laughter, and uniqueness to share with the world.
AFFIRMATION: I see the beauty in all of my experiences.
“Sitting quietly, doing nothing, spring comes, and the grass grows by itself” ~ Zen Proverb
“If I had my life to live over, I would start barefoot earlier in the spring and stay that way later in the fall. I would go to more dances. I would ride more merry-go-rounds. I would pick more daisies.” ~ Nadine Stair
“The splendor of the rose and the whiteness of the lily do not rob the little violet of it’s scent nor the daisy of its simple charm. If every tiny flower wanted to be a rose, spring would lose its loveliness.” ~ Therese of Lisieux
“Expect to have hope rekindled. Expect your prayers to be answered in wondrous ways. The dry seasons in life do not last. The spring rains will come again.” ~ Sarah Ban Breathnach
Stravinsky: The Right of Spring ~ London Symphony Orchestra
First Day of Spring ~ Chris Brown
Spring Affair ~ Donna Summer
For the next week, I invite you to spring ahead by:
Starting your morning off by saying “something fantastic happens today” before you get out of bed. Start your morning with intentions of seeing the beauty in the day ahead.
Taking a mid day break and check in with how your are feeling and make necessary adjustments and express appreciation and gratitude for where you are at.
Ending your day with gratitude of what the day held – even the contrasting experiences as through gratitude, contrasts are lessened and amazing experiences are heightened. As you drift off to sleep, remind yourself that something fantastic happened that day. It could be as simple as seeing a young child laugh, or something you manifested in your experience by having a positive focus.
Mostly, my wish for you is to experience the beauty in every experience as nature does. Look for that rainbow on the other side of the storm by understanding that your contrasting experiences bring greater depth and appreciation as your dreams unfold.
Until next time, enjoy your journey as the beauty in flower started as a seed that required the rain as much as it required the sun.
Keep living big, loving big, and laughing along the journey.
