Posting Like-Minded events on our calendar

Positive Focus mission is to promote a positive outlook that inspires and supports millions of people to live a more fulfilled life through out events and like-minded events. We want to be your go-to-calendar on positive and uplifting events in Chicagoland.

If you would like your events posted on our calendar, here are the steps:

Code of Kindness: You agree with our Code of Kindness

To make your payment visit: and then email with the details to be included.

$10 Per event: Note level events are included on our weekly email sent to our meetup members.

*If the event is free to attendees, the $10 fee may be waived.

These events are listed as an event which allows people to RSVP, comment, and it will be searchable in the full meetup schedule, not just PF. *You must sign up as a PF member so you can RSVP and comment on your event.

Option 1:

$25 – Along with event being posted on calendar, it will appear as a sponsored event at the top of the weekly Meetup email until event week.

Option 2:

$50 – Along with being posted on the calendar, your event will be sent out as an individual email announcing the event. (Because of how many events we have, we limit individual emails).

Information to include for all events calendar or note level:
Title of event (Keep it short)
Date, time (closing time is helpful), location
Cost of event
For more information: include website for complete details, email address, or phone number (this is a must for note level events)

Description Length:

Note level: 25 words or less (the intention is to direct people back to your link for full details)

$25 posting: 50 words or less

$50 posting: 100 words or less.

When writing copy for an event, ask yourself how much you READ information or SCAN it. Make it easy to scan for the main details as they can peruse the link for full details for the main information. The copy on the calendar should be enticing them to want to learn more.

RSVP to the event and comment about how excited you are to attend. Get your friends to RSVP too and if you know others are coming from different resources than meetup, include them in your guests. People are more apt to sign up when they know others will be there.

Check to see when others are RSVPing to the event and welcome them, respond to questions etc.

As our code of kindness states, we focus on pro rather than anti. We reserve the right to not include your event on our calendar if it isn’t in alignment to our mission and will refund your payment accordingly.

  • Weekly email is sent on Thursday’s and to be included, you must have the information to us by that Tuesday.
  • If you are pitching a  multilevel marketing opportunity, or selling future programs, you must include that information in the event copy for transparency.
